Start Your New Career With Our Online Paramedic Program
Searching for online paramedic schools? NMETC's paramedic program in Massachusetts has developed a blend of challenging curriculum, experienced instruction and skills training, all taught in a supportive learning environment.
NMETC offers a highly interactive, Web-based, hybrid paramedic program that utilizes a virtual classroom to deliver online paramedic education.
NMETC graduates are eligible to take the NREMT certification exam upon program completion. Please contact us for exact up-to-date first-time pass rates for NREMT certification rates.
- Our course management system arrives preloaded with all the handouts, documents, and links to websites and podcasts you'll need for our paramedic class online. Students are responsible for completing assignments, quizzes and exams online utilizing this system.
- Our virtual classroom combines the interaction of a traditional classroom with the flexibility and convenience of an online format. During scheduled classes, you will be able to view the lecture/presentations, have the ability to interact with your instructor as well as fellow students, ask questions and make comments. Each session is recorded, archived and available for viewing at a later date. This also provides you the opportunity to review past lessons in part or in their entirety.
- Skills training follows the completion of your classroom requirements. If you are a distance student, you will be required to come to our campus for 10 days of skills training. If you live within driving distance of the NMETC campus, you will attend lab concurrently with your online classes. Students will be trained in all the National Registry Skills stations and adequately prepared for a multitude of real-world situations through extensive hands-on training and instruction during our simulation labs.
- Two internships are required after you complete your skills training. The clinical internship comprises a combined total of 250 hours in the Emergency Room, OR, ICU, CCU, PEDI and OB. The field internship requires you to complete a total of 250 hours of ride time, and 50 ALS Team Lead patient contacts, based on the rules of Massachusetts OEMS and under the direction of an approved preceptor. Distance students are required to work with NMETC to secure a site near the student's home or complete rotations in one of our contracted sites. NMETC will work diligently to aid the student in securing a clinical site near them; however, if we are not able to accomplish this, the student will have to travel to Massachusetts to complete their clinical and field rotations.
Upon completion of online paramedic training from NMETC, you will be eligible to take the NREMT certification exam.
