About NMETC

An Education without Borders

It was when a single mother with limited scheduling flexibility wanted to become a paramedic that Brad and Kim Newbury, NMETC founders, stepped back to ask the question: After 30 years of EMS education being delivered only in brick and mortar classrooms, why can’t we change the model?

Now, the entire NMETC team is committed to finding creative solutions as they lead the industry in advanced EMS education & training. An education at NMETC is founded on deeply rooted principles but delivered through methods that make more sense in a modern world.

At NMETC, students can learn in a traditional classroom setting, but online and hybrid programs open the doors for anyone to pursue an EMS career, despite scheduling obstacles. The best part? High-quality education and training are never compromised.

As a student at NMETC, your program starts in a virtual or on-campus classroom where you’ll learn from some of the best in the profession. Then, you’ll put your skills to the test with cutting-edge technology and advanced simulations. Finally, you’ll practice those same skills in the real world on real people, under the supervision of experienced providers in your own community, so you gain the confidence that you’re doing it right.

From my first conversation with Brad to my last goodbye hugs with the Newbury family, this journey has been a dream fulfilled.
